A person who admire

Dr. Luis Ciocca is Titular Professor and Director os the Departament of forensic medicine of the University of Chile, In 1960 he started his studies at this University, obtaining the title of surgeon dentist and specializing in orthodontics and dento-maxilary orthopedics.

He is a pioner of forensic dentistry in Chile, it all started when he identify the teeth of a patient of him, died in tragic circumstances in 1976. Comparing the clinical file of the patient with the remains found, were establishing their identity. Subsequently Dr. Ciocca continued his career in dentistry legally recognizing corpses and linking evidence with records of bite, in others typ of crimes.

Personally I admire Dr. Ciocca, for all his work, his role as a teacher, his courage to identify people disappeared during the military dictatorship and for his way of being. Earlier this year, I had the privilege of attending a class of Dr. Ciocca, where he told us about the forensic dentistry and showed us some of the cases in which the he participated, at that moment I was stunned by their history and I am now considering the specialty of forensic dentistry.

My favourite movie

Hello everyone, this time I will talk about one of my favourites movies, may not have the best plot, but when I think in a movie was the first that came to my mind, I mean "Machete Kills". It is the sequel of "Machete" Basically is a modern Chuck Norris, a thug guy who dispenses justice with their knives, action, comedy, sarcasm and a great cast: Dany Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Lady Gaga, Sofía Vergara, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica Alba, Charlie Sheen, Demian Bichir and Amber Heard.

The first time I saw this movie, was in 2013, the year it was released. I like to watch action movies, science fiction and western, I like this movies because my grandfather, and whenever we get together, we see a film of any these genres.

What is the last movie that I saw? "Fear clinic", I just saw this movie, and really disappointed me. That´s what happens when you watch unknown movies, sometimes surprise us and others disappoint us.

I love watching movies, it is one of my favourite pastimes. Each film has a story to tell, and worth giving a try each.

The first of many!

Hello everyone, today I will talk about more about me and one of my favorite pastimes, fishing.

This photograph was taken by me, in the summer of 2007, when I was 11 years old. In the image we can see the first fish that I captured in my life. A "Pejerrey" of about 20 cm. A good size to this kind of fish.

I love this photograph, because it is my beginning in the world of fishing. Fishing is very relaxing for me, I enjoy to good times with my father and my grandfather, every year we go to the same place to fish, we chatted and we make a picnic.

To fish you need a lot of patience, and many times you achieves complete silence, only you listen the wind, the singing of birds and the sound of water. It is a perfect instance to reflect and think about the future.

I enjoy the simplicity of life in contact with nature.

My Favourite Music

The truth is rarely I listen to music, I prefer watching TV or movies, but when I listen to music, most of the time is electronic, I like this music because it is entertaining and somehow motivates me to continue what I am doing, I started listening to this kind of music while I was going to school, in 2011, when I started practicing more sports and do a healthier life, I listen mainly when I run or when I go to the gym.

I almost never look the authors of these songs, because many DJs that produce this music, but the most important is David Guetta, he was born in Paris, France on November 7, 1967, and began his career as Dj in the early 80's, playing in different clubs, and remains in force until today.

I have never assisted a concert of electronic music, but someday I hope to go to one. But in most of parties or concerts from other artists, this is the music that you listen to encourage the public before the show.

I like electronic music, is great and it motivates me!

My favourite Piece of Technology

Hello everyone! Today I will talk about my favorite piece of technology, the notebook! It is a portable and lightweight computer, used to store lots of files, create and edit documents, watch movies, listen to music, play and endless things. I have my notebook since 2012, my parents bought this, when my desktop computer is spoiled, since that day, I have not stopped using it!

I use my notebook to study and do my university homework, but that's not all, also use it for watching movies (I have and have seen over 250 movies), browse the internet and play online with my friends.I use it almost every day, except during the holidays, because I like to disconnect myself.

I like my notebook because is versatile, I can transport to different places and let me do my homework and also the things I like.

As would be my life without my notebook? It would be much more complicated, should study in printed books, watch movies on TV or in the cinema, do the homeworks at hand and on paper. the simple things would be much more complex, and I would have less access to information. It would be horrible!

Expectations for a new semester

This semester classes begin with focus on practical activities , the diagnosis of diseases and psychosocial area of ​​health care, learning how to treat patients in a holistic way . From now on, begins the best.

My  schedule is better than the schedule of the last year, now I have more free time which I use to go to the gym and practice taekwondo.

I also hope physics tutor , helping my partners of first year both academically and in their integration into university life .

I hope it's a great time , make my free time without neglecting my studies , and pass all my classes.

My autobiography

Hello everyone, my name is Mario, I was born in Santiago on February 4, 1996, in the commune of Ñuñoa. I live in Puente Alto with my parents, Mario and Cecilia, I’m an only child, but I have many pets, a lot of birds and a dog, his name is “Polo” like the perfume.

I studied in the school Los Nogales, Puente Alto, where I made great friends. Now I study dentistry at the University of Chile, where I met good people.

In my free time, i see movies, especially action movies and i meet my friends, i like play with my dog and teach new tricks, i like running and going to gym, besides, i solve and collect rubik cubes.
